The Macallan 1851 Inspiration Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky Older Release

Macallan 1851 Inspiration Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 41.3% Vol. - old and rare bottling from limited series of a great Macallan This unique and sublime Macallan 1851 Inspiration Highland single malt scotch whisky is inspired by the original, first distilled in 1851, a deep amber coloured Macallan in a hand made style bottle. Released in 700ml bottles as a Travel Retail exclusive, the inspiration for this expression was a Macallan original distilled in 1851. Centuries of craftsmanship and expertise combine to create another unique addition to the Macallan Replica Series, inspired by the original, first distilled over 150 years ago. Macallan have gone to great lengths to translate the character and presentation of this latest offering. The surface of the original glass bottle was lumpy in places, and the glass itself had trapped small bubbles; the neck was not straight and the body of the bottle was slightly ovoid. All these imperfections, common to early Victorian glassware, were precisely copied in the replica bottles, which were made by master glassmakers Stolzle Flaconnage of Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The replica bottles were then sealed by hand and finished with a faithfully re-created label, using the hand-lettered style of the original. The 41.3% ABV whisky is described as light in style and displays characteristics of its time spent in a combination of bourbon and sherry oak. A wonderful collectors piece for any whisky enthusiast and collectors of outstanding scotch whiskies!
