The Glenallachie Speyside Single Malt Scotch Scottish Oak Series Aged 15 Years

The 2nd batch in Glenallachie's Virgin Oak Series this whisky saw additional aging casks made of Scottish Sessile Oak (Quercus petrae) sourced from the country's Atlantic coast. Scottish oak is notoriously difficult to work wtih for coopering making it an extreme rarity in the whiskey world. These casks were painstakingly made after the wood was left to seasons for 36 months and then toasted and charred to a medium toast.
