Mount Gay 1703 Barbados Rum Master Blender Collection

The Port Cask Expression was created by the company’s first female Master Blender, Trudiann Branker. It falls in line with Mount Gay’s signature rum profile, but it pushes the boundaries of the distillery’s storied rum-making heritage by incorporating the use of tawny port casks for the first time in its 300-plus year history. 
   On the nose, you’ll find vanilla, caramel and banana, similar to traditional Mount Gay rums, but soon those red berry and cherry notes are revealed, alongside flavors of oak, prune, almonds and spice. It’s rich, luxurious and smoother than you might expect from a cask-strength rum.
