Hanson Handmade Spirits is located in Sonoma County in California, renowned for wine. It was founded by Scott and Chris Hanson, who lend their name and origin to the name of the business. The distillery itself aims for artisan craftsmanship using the local produce of California as its canvas. It could be considered a "grain to glass" (or, in this case, grape to glass) distillery in that they control and perform all aspects of the distillation. They use a combination pot still and column still process, the latter allowing for precise control of the spirit.
