The predecessor of Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or, the 1981 Sauternes Wood Finish was aged for 21 years, the last two of which were spent in premier cru Chateau d'Yquem casks. There are just 4,000 individually numbered bottles.Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Creamy and sweet nose, with notes of various berry fruits, and the jams thereof. Custard, stewed fruits and apple strudel. Huge vanilla notes.

Palate: Caramelised bananas, orange marmalade and melted vanilla ice cream. Hints of brandy, prune and dates.

Finish: Sparkling spicy oak, banana and vanilla. Beautiful.
